JOB SUMMARY:
The EMS Education Coordinator is a vital member of the Parker County Hospital District (PCHD) team. This position is responsible for providing instruction for PCHD’s educational programs and overseeing EMS training courses in accordance with an approved EMS training curriculum.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate PCHD EMS educational offerings.
- Prepare and deliver instruction at PCHD facilities or off-site, as needed.
- Supervise course participants and instructors during instructional sessions.
- Evaluate learner performance, provide constructive feedback, and develop remediation plans when necessary.
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities for educational programs, including grade calculation and submission, maintenance of program/course/student records, and preparation and submission of required reports and data.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Adhere to established PCHD and departmental policies and procedures, as well as relevant quality and safety standards.

- Commitment to maintaining high educational standards.
- Proficiency in maintaining complete and accurate educational records.
- Knowledge of EMS educational program accreditation standards and processes.
EDUATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Associate’s degree in Science,
Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field
- Current Texas certification or
licensure as an EMT-Paramedic (EMTP)
- Basic EMS Coordinator
Certificate (must be obtained within one year of hire)
- Minimum of three (3) years EMS
experience
- Minimum of two (2) years
teaching experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Instructor certifications in
BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, and PALS
- Advanced EMS Coordinator
Certification
- FP-C Certification
- Five (5) years of EMS experience
