JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Practice Physician to join our team at the Campbell Clinic, a Medicare / Medicaid Certified Rural Health Clinic owned and operated by the Parker County Hospital District. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan—from children to adults to seniors—with a strong focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, and community-based care. This role is vital to improving access to quality healthcare in an underserved rural community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide full-spectrum primary care for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.
  • Conduct routine wellness exams, well-child visits, sports physicals, women’s health, and Medicare annual wellness visits.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic health conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment and management plans.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health promotion, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, behavioral health, and specialty providers to coordinate care.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives relevant to a rural health setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior experience in a community-based healthcare setting.
  • Comfort and competence with pediatric through geriatric care.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based guidelines and preventive medicine.
  • Familiarity with the challenges of the underserved, including limited resources and barriers to care.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
