Patient Care Tech - LVN - PRN

• Working under the Medical Director and the supervision of the Immunization Director, the PCT-LVN ensures a patient’s needs are being met in a friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient manner in the clinic setting.
• Perform functions that are in the scope of practice of the certification held and the protocols given.
• Perform patient procedures according to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation both electronic and paper formats.
• Enter information into regulatory databases as required.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly duties as assigned.
• Inventory Management: Proper storage, handling and tracking of vaccine supplies and perform quality assurance checks.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must possess excellent organizational skills.
• Should be self-motivated.
• Strong command of the English language both written and oral.
• Ability to deal professionally, courteously, and efficiently with the public.
• Ability to communicate with patients, explain procedures and provide education.
• Must be dependable and able to remain calm under stress.
• Maintain confidentiality as required for all patients (HIPAA), District, and employee information.
• Should possess knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must maintain a good working relationship with clinic staff.
• Exhibit high ethical and professional standards.
• Appropriate understanding of computer office hardware (i.e., PCs, tablets, laptops, 10-key) and software (i.e., Microsoft Office, EMR, email, internet)

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• LVN required with current State of Texas licensure or certification.
• Two (2) plus years of clinical setting experience preferred.
