JOB SUMMARY:
The Telemedicine Liaison performs as an essential part of the Telemedicine Program for Parker County Hospital District with various job duties under the direction of the Director of Telemedicine. The Telemedicine Liaison will provide support to the Medpod Telemedicine with specific responsibilities for providing information on Telemedicine/services available to students, families and employees of partner entities as well as fostering an ongoing relationship with the Hospital District.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain a variety of confidential and non-confidential manual and electronic lists and records (e.g., activity logs, phone logs, community resources, etc.) for documenting activities, providing up-to-date references and audit trail and/or ensuring the availability of items.
  • Participating in a variety of meetings, workshops, and committees for conveying and/or gathering information requires to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with Telemedicine guidelines.
  • Perform record keeping and clerical functions for supporting the Telemedicine partners by providing necessary records/materials.
  • Respond to inquiries form a variety of internal and external sources for providing information and/or direction as required.
  • Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documentation using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Process patient records in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with members of the public health/outreach team, patients, staff, and visitors using oral and written means.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Maintains an accurate clinical record, recording information per department policy.
  • Assists with receiving, distributing, verifying, and sorting supplies brought to the outreach department.
  • Maintains an orderly and businesslike environment at his/her station to assist members of the public health/outreach team in the performance of their jobs.
  • Will receive, report, and manage any incoming services requests for the Telemedicine Program.
  • Will preform basic office jobs duties such as scanning, faxing, photocopying, filing, mailing, etc.
  • Maintains up to date correspondence and coordination with director, team members and community partners.
  • Ensures that data entered the EMR prior to billing is accurate and up to date.
  • Asset users with basic troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Provide onsite and classroom training on Telemedicine equipment as directed by director.
  • Perform networking and public relations for the Telemedicine Program at partner facilities and community events as directed by the director.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong command of the English language both written and oral.
  • Appropriate understanding of computer office hardware (i.e., PCs, tablets, laptops, copier, printer, fax) and software (i.e., Microsoft Office, EMR, email, internet)
  • Confidentiality and integrity.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Medical knowledge and experience preferred.

EDUATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Associates degree or higher, preferred
  • One-year experience working in community service Telemedicine or a related field preferred
